A few days onwards with my spiffy new macbook, I’ve discovered a lot of useful tools:

Freeware apps:

• Adium: IM client
• Chmox: CHM Viewer
• ClearDock: changes/removes your dock background
• coconutBattery: extensive battery information
• coconutWiFi: detects (open) wifi networks and shows it in the menu bar
• Growl!: notification system
• iCyclone: fan controller
• iStumbler: network stumbling tool
• iTerm: the terminal redefined
• KisMAC: Wireless Network Stumbler
• Monolingual: Delete unneccesary languages

• App Update: shows if there are updates for apps
• iStat Pro: hardware stats
